Core Belief: Samanta Foundation believes empowering local youth is key to lasting community development, especially in remote tribal and forest regions.

Initial Doubt: Youth from traditional power-structured societies like Khaps and Painchis initially wondered,

“क्या हम अपनी बात रख सकते हैं?” (“Can we really voice our thoughts?”)

Early Steps: Girls and boys cautiously began stepping into new spaces, but silence and hesitation still prevailed.

Women Lead the Way: Recognizing the need for change, women were given the first space to speak, breaking barriers slowly but steadily.

Growing Confidence: By 2023, young girls openly shared their thoughts, building a foundation to include boys in the dialogue.

Parvat Youth Collective Today: A thriving platform where youth confidently say,

“यहाँ पे हम अपनी बात को रख पाते हैं और साथ ही उसपे आगे कैसे बढ़ सकते हैं वो रास्ते सोच पाते हैं।”

(“Here, we can share our thoughts and plan the way forward.”)

Fellowship Impact: The Fellowship program, along with volunteers and interns, opened pathways for young girls to pursue dreams and achieve milestones.

Building an Ecosystem: Realizing individual support wasn’t enough, the Collective was created to foster connection, collaboration, and leadership.

Youth Center: Established as a vibrant hub with books, magazines, and learning resources where youth gather to learn and grow.

Listening First: Through Participatory Action Research, the Collective was built on trust, engaging 282 youth and 113 community members across 23 villages in 28 Focus Group Discussions.

Co-Creation: Conversations honored local knowledge and shaped a shared vision for the future.

Ongoing Growth: Youth receive regular training on constitutional rights, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and communication.

Active Dialogue: Weekly online calls connect young people with guest speakers and peers, fueling ideas and confidence.

The Parvat Youth Collective stands as a powerful example of how giving young voices space to lead can spark real, lasting change.
